When you enable email notifications in a selection campaign in SAS Customer Intelligence Studio and successfully execute them, the email recipient receives an email with Summary Information, including Communication and Marketing Cell nodes.
However, in SAS Customer Intelligence Studio 6.7, after an Upgrade in Place from SAS® Customer Intelligence Studio 6.6, the Execution details might be incomplete.
The following screenshot shows the expected Execution details when the execution completes successfully:
Note: This issue does not occur with the new installation of SAS Customer Intelligence Studio 6.7. The issue occurs only after you Upgrade in Place.
A workaround for the email Notifications is listed below. Be sure to test these steps on your dev environment first.
Note that you must do both of the following correctly. Otherwise, this workaround will not work.
1. Launch DAVTree on the mid-tier machine:
<SASConfig>/Lev1/Web/Utilities/DAVTree.sh (DAVTree.bat on Windows)
2. Navigate to File ► Open, and set only the URL:
http://<host>:<port>/SASContentServer/repository/default
The Instructions.html files contain your specific environment information. These files are located in the <sasconfig>/Lev1/Documents/Instructions.html or <sasconfig>/Lev1/Documents/Backups folder.
3. Log on as sasadm@saspw.
4. Navigate to the following location:
sascontent/System/Applications/Templates/notification/en/CI_Notification.st
5. Select Versioning ► Check out.
6. Right-click CI_Notification.st ► Edit.
7. In the edit window, manually enter the change. Do not paste in a replacement file and do not upload a replacement file. Only a manual edit works.
Find each of the iterator declarations listed above and add " it |" immediately after the opening brace:
Original:
$COMMUNICATIONS_SUMMARY:{
Updated:
$COMMUNICATIONS_SUMMARY:{ it |
Leave the rest of the line and everything below it unchanged.
Repeat this step for MARKETING_CELLS_SUMMARY, CELLS_SUMMARY, HOLDOUT_CONTROL_GROUPS_SUMMARY, APPROVAL_HISTORY, EXECUTION_NOTES, EXECUTION_FAILURE, OPT_NOW_CAMPAIGNS, and OPT_NOW_PROBLEMS.
Note that CAMP_OPT_DETAILS_OUTER already declares "it1" and its nested subtable already declares "it2". Those two instances are correct as they are and you must not change them.
8. Save your updates. (Click OK.)
9. Select Versioning ► Check in.
10. Execute a campaign and confirm that the Communications and Marketing Cells tables are populated.
The template exists under every language folder (ar, cs, da, de, el, en, es, fr, he, hr, hu, it, iw, ja, ko, and so on). All of the templates carry the old syntax from an upgraded deployment. So, you need to apply the same to whichever locales you use.
If No X11 DISPLAY variable was set occurs when you execute the DAVTree command, run ipconfig in the Linux command line and copy the IPv4 address. Then, set the DISPLAY variable using the following:
export DISPLAY=<IPv4_address>:0.0
Once set, execute the following:
./DAVTree.sh
