When you log on to SAS Home, you might see the following error message:

An error occurred during service request.
Service: unknown >> unknown
Error:
Please contact your system administrator.

This error can occur after the SAS^® Content Server has been abnormally terminated, rather than by using the normal scripts and services. In order to resolve the issue, perform these steps:

1. Stop the SAS^® Web Servers.
2. Rename or delete the following directory on the SAS^® Visual Analytics server:

<sas-configuration-directory>/Lev1/AppData/SASContentServer/Repository/workspaces/default/index

3. Restart the SAS Web Servers.
