Native Microsoft Excel filters might cause an error when SAS® Add-In for Microsoft Office renders SAS® results


If a native Microsoft Excel filter is added to SAS results that are rendered by the SAS Add-In for Microsoft Office, the following error might appear:

Insert method of Range class failed

This problem can occur when you refresh SAS table results to which a variable has been added. Adding a variable to the output adds a column to the table, but the Excel filter prevents the SAS object from expanding to include the new column.

To avoid this error, temporarily remove the Excel filter.
