An issue might occur where some existing SAS Model Studio projects are displayed under an unexpected folder in the Projects list Folder column.
This behavior is related to the Folder column introduced in the SAS® Viya® 2025.07 release, which displays the stored folder location for each project.

The cause of this behavior is related to how project folder moves were handled in earlier releases of SAS Model Studio.
Prior to SAS Viya 2025.05, SAS Model Studio did not receive notifications when you moved a project to a different folder. As a result, the system continued to store the original folder location where the project was first created. Starting with SAS Viya 2025.05, project move events are captured, and the stored folder location is updated correctly. In SAS Viya 2025.07, the new Folder column was introduced in the Projects list, which surfaces this stored folder metadata.
As a result, projects that were created and moved prior to 2025.05 display an outdated folder location in the Folder column.
The workaround for this issue applies to SAS Viya 25.05 and later. To correct the folder displayed in the Projects list Folder column, move the project to any different folder and then move the project back to the intended target folder
After you move the project, the move event is captured, the stored folder location is updated, and the Folder column in the Projects list displays the correct folder
This workaround permanently corrects the displayed folder information.
