Earlier versions of SAS Visual Investigator contain different inputWidthCSSClass values from current versions. As a result, an issue occurs where the inputWidthCSSClass values differ. 

The widths specified for the User or Group Chooser and drop-down list Page Builder Controls were written to the JSON configuration file as follows:

• width=small: "inputWidthCSSClass":"sng-small-input"; 
• width=medium: "inputWidthCSSClass":"sng-medium-input"
• width=large: "inputWidthCSSClass":"sng-large-input"
• width=fit row: "inputWidthCSSClass":"sng-fit-input"

However, starting with SAS^® Visual Investigator 10.8 Hot Fix 11, the width information is saved as follows:

• "inputWidthCSSClass":"small sng-small-input" (note the word 'small' as a prefix)
• width=medium: "inputWidthCSSClass":"medium sng-medium-input" (note the word 'medium' a as prefix) and so on 
• width=fit row: "inputWidthCSSClass":"sng-fit-input" (no prefix)

When you go to the SAS Visual Investigator Admin page and click the field, this issue occurs. The default value for the width is Fit row. As a result, SAS Visual Investigator asks you to save your changes.

There is no workaround for this issue.
