Determine the allowed segments for a specific SAS® Fraud Management transaction type

Complete the following steps to determine the allowed segment for a specific SAS Fraud Management transaction type.

  1. From the Appendix 3, Table Mappings section of the SAS® Fraud Management <SFM Version>: Message Specification guide, locate the following information:
    • Middle-Tier Base Table Name
    • Account Component Value (smh_account_type)
    • Activity Component Value (smh_activity_type)
    • Description

Here is an example. For the NANM transaction type, this information is as follows: FCM_NANMNANM, and Not applicable account non-monetary.

  2. From the SAS Fraud Management user interface, on the Preferences tab, navigate to DEFAULT GRID TEMPLATE. Then, select NonAppAcct (Not Applicable) under Account Assignment and NMonAct (N/A Account Non-mon) under Activity Assignment.

    Note: NMonAct
corresponds to Not applicable account non-monetary.

  3. Click Save. NMonAct under NonAppAcct is displayed in the left panel. Select NMonAct and click the Filter Available Fields By Segment drop-down list.

The segments that are displayed under All Available System Segments are the segments that are mandatory for the particular combination of smh_acct_type (NA) and smh_activity_type (NM). (That is, the NANM transaction type.)
