If you have McAfee Data Loss Prevention (DLP) end-point service enabled and you attempt to save a SAS Enterprise Guide project, the following message error message occur:

Failed to save project. Access to the path is denied.

Workaround

To circumvent this issue and enable SAS Enterprise Guide to save your project file(s), follow one of these steps.

Important: Please consult with your local IT department before attempting to perform either of the following procedures:

• Because SAS Enterprise Guide writes to the temporary SEG<pid> location when saving a project file, add the path "C:\Users\<user-ID>\AppData\Local\Temp\" to the McAfee DLP end-point exclusions list.
