"An error was encountered loading the data...Cannot find the requested data source" occurs after promoting a SAS® Visual Analytics report


After promoting a SAS Visual Analytics report from one environment to another, you might encounter an error similar to the following:

Error message that reads: "An error was encountered loading the data KO_COST_PREDICTION. Cannot find the requested data source: DERIVEDASTORE15766108013"

This behavior occurs if your report uses an Automated Explanation or Automated Prediction object. These objects create derived tables behind-the-scenes called ASTORE tables, which must be manually moved from one environment to the other in addition to promoting the report.
