Configuring horizontal mid-tier clusters after applying SAS Web Server/Environment Manager hot fixes

After applying SAS Web Server/Environment Manager hot fixes, manual post-installation steps are required to complete configuration of a horizontal mid-tier cluster.

Complete the following steps for each middle-tier cluster node. In these instructions, note that the “x” represents a single digit that varies depending on the version of SAS Environment Manager you are using, while the "X" represents the configuration level directory of files you want to change.

  1. Shut down all SAS sessions, daemons, spawners, servers and agents.
  2. Copy the following files, when applicable, from the machine where the hot fix was applied to each machine where SAS Environment Agent is configured:

<SASConfig>/LevX/Web/Scripts/AppServer/lib/commons-collections.jar
< SASConfig>/LevX/Web/Scripts/AppServer/lib/groovy-all.jar

      3.  If SAS Environment Manager and SAS Web Server are installed on different machines, the following two JAR files should be copied to the machine with SAS Web Server:

<SASConfig>/LevX/Web/Scripts/WebServer/lib/commons-collections.jar
<SASConfig>/LevX/Web/Scripts/WebServer/lib/groovy-all.jar

     4.  Restart SAS sessions, daemons, spawners, servers and agents.

For more information on the proper order for starting servers, go to SAS® 9.4 Intelligence Platform: System Administration Guide, Fourth Edition and review the section entitled "Starting, Stopping and Checking the Status of Servers".
