When using SAS^® Merchandise Data Integration to run a plan_reclass job on a Windows 64-bit platform, the following error might be generated:

"ERROR: Rename of temporary member xxx failed"

In the Windows Application Event log, the following error might appear for the same xxx filename:

"SAS Error Event: hc_disk_rename: Unknown error detected while renaming file: xxx.lck"

This problem might occur on any Windows 64-bit operating system.

There are several potential causes for this problem.

-SORTSIZE 256M -BUFSIZE 64K -UBUFSIZE 64K -IBUFSIZE 32767 -BUFNO 100 -IBUFNO 10 -UBUFNO 10

• Anti-Virus, Backups, or another automated processes might have been running during the plan_reclass job. Anti-Virus, Backups, and other automated processes should be disabled during this run.

• Windows x64 Disk Caching and I/O might be causing the issue.

• SAS I/O parameters might be incorrect. Look in C:\Program Files\SAS\SASFoundation\9.2\nls|en\SASV9.CFG file and verify that the following parameters are present. Any missing parameters should be added. Do not reduce any parameter if the SASV9.CFG file already has a larger value.
