You cannot create more than one Enhanced Due Diligence review against a customer in SAS® Anti-Money Laundering


SAS Anti-Money Laundering 8.3 restricts Enhanced Due Diligence (EDD) reviews to one per active alert per customer. However, since the Customer Due Diligence (CDD) process rescores customers regularly, multiple EDD reviews need to be opened for the same customer.

Here is the workaround to allow multiple EDD reviews for a customer in SAS Anti-Money Laundering 8.3:

1. Update the record with table_nm='crr_edd_x_pty' in the Postgres SAS Visual Investigator (VI) database table​​​​​​​:

update fdhmetadata.dh_object_relationship

set relationship_cardinality_cd = 'MANY_TO_ONE'

where table_nm='crr_edd_x_pty' and relationship_nm = 'PTY';

2. Drop the unique index for party_number:

DROP INDEX "fdhdata"."crr_edd_x_pty_UX02";

3. Restart the datahub service:

sudo systemctl stop sas-viya-svi-datahub-default.service
sudo systemctl start sas-viya-svi-datahub-default.service
