In SAS Studio, when you change application servers (assuming that more than one is available), an error occurs if the server is not configured for clients to reconnect. The following error is generated:
SAS Studio requires the workspace server option Allow clients to reconnect to be set on all the servers that it connects to. By default, this option is selected by the SAS® Deployment Manager when configuring servers. This option is not checked by default when you manually create a server in SAS® Management Console.
To correct this issue in SAS Management Console, do the following:
- Open the Properties dialog box for the server in question (for example, SASTemp - Workspace Server).
- Click the Options tab.
- Click the Advanced Options... button.
- Click the Client Reconnection tab and make sure that Allow clients to reconnect is checked.
- Restart the object spawner so that the changes take effect.
