If you specify the PLOTS=SCORE(PAINT) option in PROC PRINCOMP and you have more than three components, incorrect percent of variance explained values are displayed in the painted score plot axis labels. The Component 3 versus Component 2 values are used for every component triple. The percent values are correct only for the first plot when PLOTS=SCORE(PAINT), PLOTS=SCORE(PAINT=F), or PLOTS=SCORE(PAINT=FIRST).

There is no circumvention for this problem.
