When a SAS/CONNECT client tries to SIGNON to a SAS/CONNECT® 9.4 spawner, the SIGNON fails with the following error:
NOTE: Remote signon to xxxxxx commencing
ERROR: A communication subsystem partner link setup request failure has occurred.
ERROR: TCP link establishment failed.
ERROR: Remote signon to xxxxxx canceled.
This error can occur when you try to SIGNON to the SAS/CONNECT spawner's -MGMTPORT instead of the -SERVICE port. The SIGNON should use the SAS/CONNECT spawner's -SERVICE port.
Note: You can specify -MGMTPORT and -SERVICE options during the SAS/CONNECT spawner's start-up or in the metadata for a metadata-configured SAS/CONNECT spawner. Otherwise, the default ports are used. For details, see the "Options for Starting and Managing the SAS/CONNECT Spawner" section in Communications Access Methods for SAS/CONNECT® 9.4 and SAS/SHARE® 9.4, Second Edition.
