In some Citrix environments, SAS® Enterprise Guide® connection profiles and options might not be saved


SAS Enterprise Guide connection profiles and options might not save properly in some Citrix environments when Windows Roaming User Profiles are not enabled on the Windows Servers that are part of a Citrix farm.

Note: Other SAS client applications such as SAS® Add-In for Microsoft Office and SAS® Data Integration Studio might also be affected if Windows Roaming User Profiles are not enabled.

To create and enable a Roaming User Profile, follow this procedure or use the instructions in the Microsoft article linked below.

  1. Open Active Directory Users and Computers.
  2. Click the domain and the Organization Unit (OU) where the user account resides.
  3. Right-click the user account for which you want to set a roaming profile, and then click Properties.
  4. Click the Profile tab, and then enter the profile path information in Profile path. (Use the full path in each user account. For example, enter \\Server\ShareName\UserName.)
