Resetting a SAS session or switching between SAS® Studio contexts might fail with "An error occurred retrieving the job log from the compute server"


In SAS® Studio 2025.08 and later, the following error message might occur when you complete steps similar to the following:

  1. Run any SAS code.
  2. Reset the SAS session with the F9 key shortcut.

or

  1. Run any SAS code.
  2. Switch to another compute context.

"An error occurred retrieving the job log from the compute server. The job 00C32531-BC38-AE4E-8557-B1D0878462B6 requested could not be found in this session. Error code: 2079"

Then, an additional message occurs after the error above:

"The resource could not be found. Error code: 7"

A patch is available for LTS 2025.09 and for Stable 2025.11.

The issue is fixed in SAS® Studio 2025.12 and later.
