If you specify an OUTHISTOGRAM= data set on the HISTOGRAM statement in PROC UNIVARIATE, the data set is created with zero observations even when there is valid input data.

To avoid the problem, add a fitted distribution (such as NORMAL) as an option on the HISTOGRAM statement. If SAS/QC is installed, PROC CAPABILITY may also be used as a workaround.
