Starting with stable 2025.06, SAS Studio uses a new a new open-source base editor, which provides a significant number of new features and enhancements. The change in editor also implies that you might see some changes in behavior from previous releases of SAS Studio.

Specifically, in SAS® Studio 2025.06 and earlier versions, you could use the Ctrl+Shift+U shortcut or configure a new shortcut (in Options > Manage Keyboard Shortcuts) to trigger the Cycle through cases (upper, lower, mixed) action.

Since SAS® Studio 2025.06, no custom shortcut is available or configurable for the Cycle through cases (upper, lower, mixed) action. Instead, the new built-in new editor supports eight distinct case transformations, which you can find with the Command palette:

Note that no group of cases are prioritized among others to be included in a cycle action.
