A scripted SAS/CONNECT SIGNON from a SAS Viya client to a SAS9 SAS/CONNECT spawner does not work.
A scripted SIGNON relies on a SAS/CONNECT script file to supply credentials. However, a SAS Viya platform client SIGNON statement without a USER= or PASS= parameter is assumed to be a MPCONNECT SIGNON (also known as SASCMD Sign-Ons)—not a traditional SAS/CONNECT spawner SIGNON.
A scripted SAS/CONNECT SIGNON from a SAS Viya SAS/CONNECT client to a SAS Viya SAS/CONNECT spawner is not valid.
See Types of Sign-Ons for a list of supported SIGNON methods.
A fix has been requested to allow a SAS Viya platform client to use a scripted SIGNON to SAS9 SAS/CONNECT spawners.
