Slowness occurs when opening reports with CDA functions or CDA tables using SAS® Financial Management on SAS® Viya®


In SAS® Viya® 2026.03 and SAS® Viya® 2026.07, when you create a new SAS Financial Management on SAS Viya report, data rendering might be significantly slower if the report contains CDA tables or CDA functions.

The expectation is that the time required to render a report that you create using a standard SAS Financial Management table will be very similar to that of a report that you create using a CDA table. 

Cause

When you activate the SAS® Planning Add-in log, as documented in SAS KB0060359, error messages similar to the following occur:

System.IndexOutOfRangeException: Index was outside the bounds of the array.
   at Com.Sas.Ses.OfficeIntegration.Model.CubeDimensionMemberQuery.getDimensionMemberIds(DimensionMemberIdRequest[] dmirqs, Hashtable htCDA, ServerProviderInterface spi, ODCSWebServiceInterface metadata)
