The "New folder" icon is not available in the "Select a Location" window of SAS® Studio


In the Select a Location window that is displayed when you invoke the “Copy to” or “Move to” functions on any object in the navigation pane of SAS Studio, the New Folder icon is not present when the destination folder is in SAS Server.

This issue occurs even if you have full rights to write in the selected folder.

The New Folder icon is not present.

This is a bug that affects all versions of SAS® Studio 2025.06 up to SAS® Studio 2025.12.

Workaround

To circumvent this issue, create the new destination folder before invoking the “Copy to” or “Move to” functions.

This issue has been fixed starting with SAS® Studio 2026.01.
