The error "Cannot open data set "xxxx"" occurs in SAS® Enterprise Guide®


In SAS® Enterprise Guide® 8.4 and SAS® Enterprise Guide® 8.5, an error occurs when you complete steps similar to the following:

  1. Submit the LIBNAME statement for the JDBC connection.
  2. Try to expand the library and open the data.

As a result, the following error occurs:

Error "Cannot open data set "EMP11"."

However, submitting the SQL procedure or the PRINT procedure runs successfully. 

The issue is fixed in SAS® Enterprise Guide® 8.6.
