SAS Enterprise Guide might stop responding when you use autocomplete in the Program Editor. This behavior can be seen when some libraries contain a large number of tables. For example, you might encounter this problem if your library contains more than 2,000 tables.

If you encounter this problem, there are two workarounds:

Reorganize the tables and store them in different libraries.
Turn off the autocomplete functionality for libraries and tables.
To turn off autocomplete, select Tools ► Options ► SAS Programs ► Editor Options ► Autocomplete. Deselect the Enable Autocomplete option.
