When you use the SQLSTMT package with Teradata and DS2, SAS might stop responding.

To work around this issue, set the CLIENT_ENCODING option in the TKTS (Threaded Kernel Table Services) connection string. Make sure that the SAS encoding matches the database management system (DBMS) encoding.
