SAS Visual Analytics might fail to send alert emails after the alert has been triggered. This behavior occurs even though the alert recipients can receive emailed reports that are sent through the SAS Visual Analytics distribution feature. To determine whether you are encountering this issue, do one of the following, depending on your operating system.

If you are on Linux, submit the following command: 

rpm -qa | grep reportservicesgroup

If the release of resportservicesgroup is 1.1.79, then you should install the latest update for your release of SAS^® Visual Analytics 8.5.2. After the update, the release should be 1.1.82 or later. 

If you are on Microsoft Windows, open the About dialog box from SAS Visual Analytics. If the build date is January 3, 2023, then you are most likely encountering this issue.
