In a Japanese environment, depending on how the locale information loads, changes made on the web interface (such as dimension name updates) might not be reflected in Microsoft Excel. 

When you use SAS Financial Management with Japanese, locale information loads as part of the environment configuration. In a Japanese environment, browsers operate using the "ja" locale. Depending on how the locale information loads, this issue might occur. 

Workaround 

In a Japanese environment, the following locale settings should load:

LOCALE_LANGUAGE_CD=ja
LOCALE_COUNTRY_CD=<blank>

If you have already built the environment with the following locale settings, you can circumvent this issue by changing the value of LOCALE_COUNTRY_CD to a dummy value (such as "xx"). 

LOCALE_LANGUAGE_CD=ja
LOCALE_COUNTRY_CD=JP
