AppSense is a third-party virtualization environment that can be substituted for Microsoft Windows roaming profiles. Using AppSense instead of Windows roaming profiles in a Citrix environment might cause application-profile issues in SAS products such as SAS^® Enterprise Guide^®, SAS^® Add-In for Microsoft Office, SAS^® Foundation, and others.

Because AppSense manages and keeps user profiles separate from the operating system, SAS client applications might encounter problems accessing these user profiles. In addition to the physical user-profile folders, registry information is also redirected to the virtualized area.

At this time, the SAS applications that are noted above are limited in support for AppSense because the Windows user-profile location that is used by SAS products cannot be redirected.
