Editing a schedule or distribution for a SAS® Web Report Studio report fails with "Report schedule failed...The job schedule failed"


When you attempt to edit a schedule or distribution, SAS Web Report Studio might display an error that is similar to the following:

Report schedule failed, operation (runRecurring), status (The job schedule failed.(13)), report url
(SBIP://METASERVER/System/Applications/SAS Web Report Studio/Common/Scheduling/DistributionDefs/sasdemo/Class
Report(Transformation)), schedule requested (Runs on: 1/30/21 @ 3:05 PM).

Even though the error appears, your changes should be saved. However, to enforce the changes, use one of the following workarounds. The error still occurs, but the schedule or distribution should work as expected. If the schedule or distribution still do not execute, then try a different workaround: 

  1. Reopen the dialog box and click through to Finish.
  2. Reopen the dialog box and make a change to both the date and the time.
  3. Reopen the dialog box and make a change to the text of the email. 

Finally, if the workarounds do not resolve the issue, then delete the schedule and create a new one with the preferred settings.
