Decision objects fail to import with "This child item already exists in another folder" in SAS® Intelligent Decisioning


SAS Intelligent Decisioning decisions fail to import if decision objects with the same name are present in the Recycle bin. 

A warning or error similar to the following occurs if you click the Item Log View: 

This child item already exists in another folder.

Here is a screenshot of the full warning or error:

NOTE xxx: The resource was successfully imported. WARNING TESTA: decision/flows/xxx was updated but cannot be added to the intended folder. This child item already exists in another folder.

Although the objects in the Recycle folder are deleted, a soft reference to them still exists in the system if they remain in the Recycle bin. The soft reference prevents a decision from being created with the same name as the one in the recycle bin. 

Workaround

Ensure that you remove all objects that you delete from the Recycle bin.
