When you try to create a new project or model in SAS^® Model Studio, the process fails, and the project cannot be initialized successfully. This issue is reproducible and continues after you restart the services.

When this issue occurs, the launcher service logs contain the following error:

ERROR 10169 --- [-auto-1-exec-11] com.sas.commons.rest.ExceptionLog        : sas.launcher com.sas.commons.rest.exceptions.ResourceException: No qualified launcher servers are available to complete request.

If you use a shared account to run the SAS^® Studio Compute context, this error might occur because the Data Mining compute context does not have the runServerAs setting in the Attributes section.

To solve this issue, you need to add the runServerAs setting to the shared account.

1. Log on to SAS^® Viya^®.
2. Select Manage Environment in the left pane ► Context.
3. Set the view on the Compute contexts and the Data Mining compute context.
   1. Click the pencil icon.
   2. In the Attributes section, add runServerAs in the Attribute column and the shared account user name in the Value column.
   3. Click Save.
