Bulk-loading data into an existing DB2 table on a z/OS machine might fail with an SVC99 abend


Trying to bulk load data into an existing DB2 table under z/OS might result in the following errors:

ERROR: (ACCDB2M001E) SVC99 allocation error rc = 22280, reason = 0. Error allocating the DB2IN LOAD utility, dsn=SASMBA.TESTBULK.NIRIN1. Step failed.
 

The following error might also occur:

ERROR: (ACCDB2M004E) Error trying to run the load utility. See the DB2PRINT dataset for error messages.
 

The error occurs due to multiple attempts to create the same DB2IN library.

Currently, the only workaround is to turn off bulk-loading.
