When you use the sas-admin command-line interface (CLI) to create a database management system (DBMS) caslib, the following message is produced if an authentication domain is not included in the options or input JSON:

The authentication domain must be specified.

This message is presented when specifying many caslib types such as ODBC, Hadoop, Teradata, and other supported DBMS caslib types.

To work around the problem, specify the caslib type of "other" as shown in the following example:

/opt/sas/viya/home/bin/sas-admin cas caslibs create other --server cas-shared-default --source-file caslib.json
