The error "Insufficient authorization to access..." occurs when you use bidirectional line switched ring (BLSR) to allocate temporary SAS® data sets


When you allocate a temporary data set using VSAM BLSR, you get the following error:

ERROR: Insufficient authorization to access xxxxx.xxxxxx.xxxxxx.

The temporary data set name included in the message is similar to SYS13336.T080927.RA000.

To circumvent the problem, code SAS System Option FILEAUTHDEFER. For more information, see "FILEAUTHDEFER System Option: z/OS".
