Configuring SAS Scalable Performance Data Server (SPDS) to allow secure TCP/IP communications is likely to fail with the correct configuration options. As a result, an error similar to the following is displayed in the client.

ERROR: Unable to communicate with SPD Server. Conflicting SSL options.  Please contact your SPDS administrator.

ERROR: Error in the LIBNAME statement.

Setting the SAS Scalable Performance Data Server SSLSECURE option to YES might provide a workaround if you specified PREFERRED. However, it is recommended not to use the PREFERRED setting for this option.
