How SAS® Visual Analytics exports export crosstab data to Microsoft Excel


SAS® Visual Analytics Designer, SAS® Visual Analytics Viewer, and SAS® Visual Analytics on SAS® Viya® 2020.1.5 and earlier export crosstab data into a list table in Microsoft Excel.

For example, the following display shows a crosstab in SAS Visual Analytics Viewer 7.51:A crosstab with headings Division, Product, Predicted Sales, Actual Sales, Predicted Sales, Actual Sales

When you export the data in this table, the results appear in a list table, as shown in the following display:

To preserve crosstab format, you can open the report directly using the SAS® Add-In for Microsoft Office. 

Beginning with SAS Visual Analytics on SAS Viya 2021.1, the crosstab format is preserved, as shown in the following display:
