Operating system scheduler jobs that are scheduled via SAS Management Console to a Microsoft Windows Server 2016 or 2019 installation might fail to trigger. This issue occurs after the Microsoft patches KB4091664 and KB4467691 are installed.
These jobs are created in Windows Task Scheduler but are not run by the Task Scheduler because the Configure for selection for the task is Windows Server™ 2003, Windows® XP, or Windows® 2000.
Workarounds
- Remove the affected patches.
-
- You can work around the issue on Windows Server 2016 by removing the patches KB4091664 and KB4467691.
- On Windows Server 2019, the changes from these patches are distributed with the operating system and cannot be removed.
- Correct the jobs manually in Task Scheduler.
-
- You can correct the Task Scheduler jobs manually by changing the Configure for selection in the task properties to Windows Vista™, Windows Server™ 2008. This action needs to be done after scheduling the job.
