In SAS Visual Analytics on SAS Viya, you can prohibit users from displaying and using the Print to PDF option by denying grants for the /reportRenderer/reports/** rule. This rule blocks PDF generation in general. Thus, when you prohibit this rule to a specific user or to a specific group of users, these users are not able to display and use the Print to PDF option within SAS Visual Analytics. Also, they are not able to receive any emails from report distribution if the Include PDF attachment with email option is selected.

This behavior is expected.

For example, you encounter this issue if you deny grants for the /reportRenderer/reports/** rule to a specific group of users, Group1. Then, Group1 is unable to display and use the Print to PDF option in SAS Visual Analytics, both in View and Edit Mode. Also, Group1 cannot receive any email from report distribution if the Include PDF attachment with email option is selected.

To work around this issue, ensure that the Include PDF attachment with email option is not selected when you create a distribution.
