"IPC Connection broken exception..." might be generated with many users on the system in SAS® Merchandise Planning or SAS® Merchandise Allocation

In SAS® Merchandise Planning or SAS® Merchandise Allocation, the MESERVER might crash and generate the following error when there are many users in the system:

errors code="2000" errMsg="IPC Connection broken exception : Connection::receive: RWSocketError . RWSocketError: in RWSocket::recv: CONNABORTED"

When the error is generated, check the value of the "MESERVER.kernel.maxuser=" parameter in the meserver.properties file. (The default value is 20). If the actual number of users logged in the system exceeds the value set in the "MESERVER.kernel.maxuser=" parameter, increase the parameter value accordingly and restart your servers.

The meserver.properties file is located in a different file directory location depending of the solution. The default file locations for each solution are indicated below:

The SAS® Merchandise Planning meserver.properties file is located in \SAS\Retail\plan_61\config.

The SAS® Merchandise Allocation meserver.properties file is located in \SAS\Retail\Allocation\config\MarketMAX\properties.
