When you launch SAS Enterprise Guide, you might see the following error:
Access to the path 'C:\Users\<user-id>\AppData\Roaming\SAS\EnterpriseGuide\7.1\TaskBrowserOptions.xml' is denied.
Another symptom that might occur is that the SAS Enterprise Guide connection profile becomes unavailable.
The problem occurs when the Windows User Profile folder properties have been set to Hidden.
To circumvent this issue, complete these steps:
- Right-click the affected user profile, and select Properties.
- On the General tab, deselect the Hidden check box, and click OK.

- A Confirm Attribute Changes dialog box appears. Select Apply changes to this folder, subfolders and files and click OK.

- When the process is complete, restart SAS Enterprise Guide.
