SAS Technical Support is phasing out the use of SAS Notes, replacing them with Knowledge Base (KB) articles like this one.
In the past, a limited number of SAS Notes were assigned an ALERT status, meaning that they described issues deemed high priority by SAS Technical Support engineers. This feature is not available for KB articles.
The default behavior in SASHFADD 2.2.4 and earlier was to generate a separate “_ALERT_ONLY_” script for downloading only hot fixes that addressed issues described in ALERT SAS Notes.
Starting in SASHFADD 2.2.5, the separate “_ALERT_ONLY_” download script is no longer generated by default because we are no longer creating new SAS Notes.
You can choose to continue generating the “_ALERT_ONLY_” download script by activating the following option in the SASHFADD.cfg file:
-GENERATE_ALERT_SASNOTE_SCRIPTING
SAS Technical Support recommends that you do NOT activate this option in the SASHFADD.cfg file.
