SAS Visual Analytics 7.5 deployments with distributed SAS LASR Analytic Server should apply SAS High-Performance Analytics Environment updates to support new and changed functionality.
To apply the update, complete these steps:
- Download the TKGrid_623_x86_64.sh script.
- Copy the TKGrid_623_x86_64.sh file to the /tmp directory of the Root node of the cluster.
- Make the script executable by running the following command: chmod u+x /tmp/TKGrid_623_x86_64.sh.
- Log on to the machine that is the Root node of the cluster or the data appliance with a user account that has the necessary permissions.
For more information, see the "User Accounts for the SAS High-Performance Analytics Environment" section in SAS® High-Performance Analytics Infrastructure 3.9: Installation and Configuration Guide. - Change to the existing directory that contains TKGrid. For example, if TKGrid is installed in /opt/TKGrid, cd to /opt.
- Run the TKGrid_623_x86_64 shell script in this directory.
- Respond to the prompts from the shell script:

Configuration Prompts for the TKGrid_623_x86_64 Shell Script

Shared install or replicate to each node? (Y=SHARED/n=replicated)
|
If you are installing to a local drive on each node, then specify n and press Enter to indicate that this is a replicated installation. If you are installing to a drive that is shared across all the nodes (for example, NFS), then specify Y and press Enter.
|
- If you selected a replicated installation at the first prompt, you are now prompted to choose the technique for distributing the contents to the appliance nodes:
The install can now copy this directory to all the machines
listed in 'TKGrid/grid.hosts' using scp, skipping the first entry.
Perform copy?
(YES/no)
- Press Enter if you want the installation program to perform the replication. Enter no if you are distributing the contents of the installation directory through another technique.
Note: The contents of the TKGrid_623_x86_64 file must be distributed to every machine in the analytics cluster.
The shell script creates a lib3 subdirectory and a file named VERSION3 in the TKGrid directory.
