Semantic validation error that references a PromptDefinition and its NumericRange appears when opening the diagnostic window in SAS® Visual Analytics


In SAS Visual Analytics, you can press CTRL+ALT+B to open the SAS Visual Analytics Diagnostics window. Typically, you open this window as directed by SAS Technical Support.

If your report includes a slider with the Set value to dynamic minimum or Set value to dynamic maximum option set, then you might see a "Semantic Validation Errors" message. Typically, the message has content that is similar to the following display:

(Error) PromptDefinition pr30: A PromptDefinition containing a NumericRange with a dynamicMin attribute should have minVariable and maxVariable attributes

Under these circumstances, this message can be safely ignored. Click Close in the message to access the content in the window.

 

If you see the message with different content, and your report does not include a slider that uses a dynamic minimum or maximum, then contact SAS Technical Support for assistance.
