Exporting any geo map object generates "The export failed to generate a PDF" pop-up message


Exporting any geo map object generates the following pop-up message: "The export failed to generate a PDF."

This issue has been observed on new installations using a Kubernetes deployment.

One recommendation is to update settings in the Cross-domain Proxy service by performing the following steps:

  1. Deploy and configure a forward proxy server to handle outbound connections from the SAS® Viya® server if one is not already available.
  2. Log on to SAS® Environment Manager and navigate to the Cross-domain Proxy Service configuration.

  3. Add the forward proxy URL to both the outboundHttpProxyURL and outboundHttpsProxyURL.
