SAS^®9 utilizes a custom class loader implementation, which might prevent third-party monitoring tools from properly connecting to the JVM. These tools, such as Cisco AppDynamics, require the ability to add to the JVM classpath at runtime, which is securely enabled through the use of Java Instrumentation. For more information, see Instrumentation (Java SE 11 & JDK 11). Note that the SAS class loader does not offer this functionality.

There is no workaround for this issue.
