Following the introduction of the Document Generation (DocGen) functionality in SAS Visual Investigator on the SAS^® Viya^® platform in September 2022, the previous Print Template feature will be permanently removed from the SAS Viya platform starting with SAS^® Visual Investigator 2025.09.

DocGen has been the default solution for printable document generation in all SAS Viya platform deployments since SAS^® Visual Investigator 2023.11. Starting with SAS Visual Investigator 2025.09, DocGen will be the only available option.

Action Items

All teams and users currently using the Print Template in the SAS Viya platform should do as follows:

• Replace any print templates still in use with equivalent DocGen templates.
• Update any documentation or processes that reference Print Templates.
• Test your DocGen implementations to ensure smooth operation.
