QUERY_BAND UtilityDataSize options with SAS/ACCESS^® Interface to Teradata have no effect when you use a LIBNAME statement or explicit pass-through code. However, the Query Band setting is retained and applied when used with the Data Set option.

No error messages or warnings are reported when this issue occurs.

Using the QUERY_BAND UtilityDataSize setting in hybrid environments reduces network latency and uses cloud-based Teradata server resources better. 

This issue occurs because the Query Band setting is not passed to the Teradata database when you use a LIBNAME statement or explicit pass-through code.
