The r_job_resp_fincen_copy_xml SAS job incorrectly renames file extensions in SAS® Anti-Money Laundering


The rr_job_resp_fincen_copy_xml.sas SAS job uploads response files received from the Financial Crime Enforcement Network (FinCEN) agency. However, an issue might occur where the file extension of the processed file is not renamed correctly.

For example, the filename "SARXST.xxxxxxxxx.yyyy.xml.MESSAGES.XML" is renamed to "SARXST.xxxxxxxxx.yyyy.xmlp.MESSAGES.XML" instead of "SARXST.xxxxxxxxx.yyyy.xml.MESSAGES.XMLp". As a result, the response process might upload and process the FinCEN response files multiple times.
