DataHub's configuration is incompatible with the sas.svi-datahub.cache.index-configuration section, which prevents SAS® Visual Investigator 10.8 Hot Fix 14 and Hot Fix 15 from being migrated to the SAS Viya platform.
- The refreshAfterWriteInMinutes key is not present in SAS® Viya® 3 ► sas.svi-datahub.cache.index-configuration ► definitionVersion 2.
- The refreshAfterWriteInMinutes key is present in the SAS Viya platform ► sas.svi-datahub.cache.index-configuration ► definitionVersion 2.
As a result, a migration failure occurs when you try to migrate to the SAS Viya platform from either SAS Visual Investigator 10.8 Hot Fix 14 or Hot Fix 15.
Workaround
To circumvent this issue, complete the following steps:
- To ensure that the SAS Viya 3 "definitionVersion 2" is skipped during the migration process, add a "definitionVersion 3" to DataHub's configuration that includes the refreshAfterWriteInMinutes key. (The SAS Viya 3 code will not use this key, but the key needs to be in place for the migration to work.)
- In the SAS Viya platform, clone the existing "definitionVersion 2" into an identical "definitionVersion 3" and "definitionVersion 4".
When the migration occurs, the "definitionVersion 3" in SAS Viya 3 migrates to SAS Viya 4 and is then replaced by the "definitionVersion 4" in the SAS Viya platform.
