SAS® Studio shortcuts displayed in the editor command palette are not synchronized with the application keyboard shortcuts

Starting with stable 2025.06, SAS Studio uses a new a new open-source base editor, which provides a significant number of new features and enhancements. The change in editors also implies that you might see some changes in behavior from previous releases of SAS Studio.

Specifically, there are currently two sets of keyboard shortcuts:

For editor commands that are in both the SAS Studio application keyboard shortcuts and in the built-in editor, the keyboard shortcuts displayed next to the commands in the editor command palette should—do currently not—match the key combination associated with the same command in the application keyboard settings.

For example, this issue occurs when you complete steps similar to the following:

  1. Click Options ► Manage keyboard shortcuts.
  2. Assign any key combination (different than the default) to the Convert to uppercase action, such as Ctrl+Shift+U.

    The Convert to uppercase action.
  3. Click the Save button to clear the Manage keyboard shortcuts dialog box.
  4. With the focus in any Program Editor, press F1 to bring up the editor command palette.
  5. Scroll or filter until you can view the Transform to Uppercase command in the command palette. The command as displayed in the command palette shows no keyboard shortcut associated with it. (The expected behavior is for Ctrl+Shift+U to be displayed.)
    The Transform to Uppercase command.

This same problem occurs with other commands that exist both in the SAS Studio application keyboard shortcuts and the built-in editor, such as the following:

(This list follows the format of Name in application settings ► Name in editor command palette.)

This is a bug that affects SAS® Studio 2025.09 and earlier versions. This issue will be fixed in a future software release.
