SAS® Studio flows with custom steps might fail with the "Macro variable names cannot exceed 32 characters" error


An error might occur when you execute a SAS Studio flow that contains a custom step:

"An error occurred while processing the 'Flow.flw' flow. The note 'Assign Libraries from Control' generated some invalid macro variables. Macro variable names cannot exceed 32 characters. In the custom step definition, revise the prompt IDs. Macro variables that exceeded 32 characters: step_PromptSourceTable_isReadOnly - Bad request body. Generating program model: SAS macro variables with length exceeding 32 characters."
